Division Information

🔹 U6 Learn to Play (2020-2021 Birth Years) – Registration Click Here

  • 7 floor times focused on skill development and game introduction

  • Combination of practices and scrimmages

  • Sessions primarily on Mondays or Wednesdays

🔹 U9 Division (2017-2019 Birth Years)

  • 2 half-rink practices & 10 full-rink games

  • Single-elimination playoffs

🔹 U11 Division (2015-2016 Birth Years)

  • 1 practice & 12 games

  • Single-elimination playoffs

🔹 U13 Division (2013-2014 Birth Years)

  • 1 practice & 12 games

  • Single-elimination playoffs

🔹 U15 Division (2011-2012 Birth Years)

  • 1 practice & 12 games

  • Single-elimination playoffs

🔹 Junior Division (2008-2010 Birth Years)

  • 1 practice & 12 games

  • Single-elimination playoffs

📌 Notes:
✔️ New - Full registered teams will be age advanced if the skill level is too great for the current age division.
✔️ Teams formed based on player requests, skill level, and location

 

 

Game & Season Information

🏒 Game Locations:

  • Indoor hockey rinks across Winnipeg (no set locations)

  • Previous venues: Century Arena, Billy Mosienko, River East, Varsity View

📅 Game Schedule:

  • Games on Monday–Thursday & Sundays (if necessary)

  • No fixed game days; schedules vary weekly

  • Avg. two floor times per week

  • Earliest start: 6:00 PM (weekdays), younger divisions play earlier

📏 Game Format:

  • Three 13-minute periods (run time)

  • 5 players + goalie per team

  • Skill adjustments made after 4–5 games

🏆 Season Timeline:

  • Starts: May 4, 2026

  • Ends: Late June 2026

  • Playoffs: Last week of June

Player Fees

🔸 U6 Division: $80 (Includes team T-shirt)
🔸 U9 Division: $220 (Includes team Jersey)
🔸 U11–Junior Divisions: $270 (Includes team Jersey)

🔸 Full Team Registration (U11–Junior):

  • $3,700 (Includes jerseys)

  • $3,400 (If team provides jerseys, league approval required)

  • Team General Manager collects & submits payment before deadline

  • Minimum 11 players, Maximum 18 players

🚨 No refunds after April 13, 2026

 

 

Mandatory Equipment

✔ CSA-Approved Hockey Helmet (Full facial protection required)
✔ Hockey Gloves
✔ Shin Pads (Soccer, hockey, or ball hockey style)
✔ Athletic Cup
✔ Hockey Stick (No plastic blades)

Goalie Equipment please see the MMBHL rule book. We do have some equipment for use at the rinks however sizes vary and players will still need to supply their own CSA approved helmet and athletic cup.
